“Exxtra-C™ Jamieson’s most potent vitamin C product comes from sugar beets found in the unspoiled Scottish countryside.”
Vitamin C… you know the one that you’ve been told to take since you were a child… it’s also the one that studies show may lessen the severity and duration of the common cold. But did you know that Vitamin C is derived from a plant source? Exxtra-C™ Jamieson’s most potent vitamin C product comes from fresh European grains. And it’s the most premium form of Vitamin C available on the Canadian market. It is pure, 100% reliable, and unique to Jamieson Laboratories because it is the only Vitamin C formula available where we can track the production process from farm to store shelf. As a result, you know exactly where your Vitamin C is coming from before you put it into your body. No other vitamin C formula can make this claim.

To Jim Cocks, the sugar beets grown in southern Alberta are owned mostly by Rogers and they are most definitely GMO.
To Jaimeson Vitamins, Thanks so much for superior products I will continue to supplement my large families diets with your vitamins and supplements I was so relieved to read that they are GMO-free. Much love your way from our house.

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for writing! You will notice that our labels list whether a product is gluten-free. Although Jamieson does offer some products that are gluten-free, we are not a gluten-free facility. If you would like more specific product information please contact our Consumer Affairs department at consumeraffairs@jamiesonlabs.com

Hi Jim,
During our sourcing process, we look at many different possible suppliers for our raw materials. In this case, the supplier in Scotland met all of our strict 360 Pure protocols, and was able to provide us with sugar beets that are guaranteed to be GMO- free. These reasons (and many others) made them the best choice. Thanks for writing!

How about trying the REAL Canadian sugar beets grown right in southern Alberta. I think they would get more sunshine than the Scotish Highlands. And they would save you a lot of shipping costs?

The sugar beets we are referring to in our television commercial are grown in Scotland in limited quantities exclusively for Jamieson in Canada. Sugar beets are a hearty crop grown in rugged weather areas of the world including Scotland and other parts of the UK, Canada and the Ukraine. Ascorbic Acid, or Vitamin C, is ultimately derived from glucose, of which sugar beets have a high concentration. We have chosen to use the sugar beets grown in Scotland because they are not only an excellent, sustainable source of Vitamin C, but they are also GMO-free.
