Toronto, Ontario (November 8, 2011)— This week, Jamieson Laboratories launches a multi-channel, bilingual advertising television campaign that will air nationally. The campaign theme, Purity is priceless™, inspires consumers to think beyond price when shopping for vitamins and supplements. “Our goal is to motivate people to consider the quality and traceability of ingredients in the supplements they buy,” says Frank Lucchetta, Jamieson’s Executive Vice President, Marketing. “There are safety concerns and inferior manufacturing processes that do exist in this industry.”
With close to 30% of the market share, the Jamieson brand has already won the trust of Canada’s vitamin and supplement customers. The 30-second Purity is priceless™ commercial, which takes its audience on Jamieson’s global journey in search of the purest and most effective natural-source ingredients, validates that support. “Our core values and farm-to-finish integrity clearly demonstrate why Jamieson vitamins are superior,” explains Lucchetta. “Our Vitamin D comes from New Zealand’s sun-drenched slopes, our Vitamin C is derived from sugar beets grown on the Scottish Highlands and the sustainable deep-water fish in the Antarctic are the source of our premium Omega oils.”
Today’s health-conscious consumers are vigilant about the nutrients they put in their bodies. Customers who want transparency will see Jamieson’s exemplary manufacturing standards in action at jamiesonvitamins.com. “In 2008, we set the bar very high with 360 Pure, our quality-assurance protocol,” notes Lucchetta. “It’s what makes purity, safety, efficacy and traceability possible. It’s what makes Jamieson Canada’s most trusted supplement brand. No other company can match our exacting standards.”

Hi Graham,
Thanks for writing! Vitamin D supplements from Jamieson Laboratories are made using only Quali®-D. Fully traceable from farm to finish, Quali®-D is the world’s purest Vitamin D3 and the same form that the body naturally produces when skin is exposed to sunlight. Quali®-D is derived from the world’s finest lanolin, an abundant, rich and renewable source of Vitamin D3. The lanolin is extracted from the sun-drenched wool of sheep. It then undergoes sophisticated, state-of-the-art processing to yield an exceptionally pure, crystalline form of pre-Vitamin D3. I notice that the vitamin D supplements offered by Usana are much more expensive than Jamieson vitamins. Does their product undergo any more processing that will make it more easy to absorb. I assume that you are both getting the raw material from the lanolin in sheep's wool.

Why does the sheep in one of your tv commercials only have three legs?

What are your "rigorous quality-assurance protocols"? I am very suspect of any ingredient coming out of China.....tainted milk scandal....tainted pet food scandle. Please reassure me.

Hi Martin,
The sugar beets we are referring to in our television commercial are in fact grown in Scotland, in limited quantities exclusively for Jamieson in Canada. Sugar beets are a hearty crop grown in rugged weather areas of the world including Scotland and other parts of the UK, Canada and the Ukraine. We have chosen to use the sugar beets grown in Scotland because they are not only an excellent, sustainable source of Vitamin C, but they are also GMO-free.
Thanks for your question!

RE your current ad extolling the purity of products used in the preparation of your vitamins, sugar beets have not been processed in Scotland since 1970,and if they are indeed grown in the "unspoiled" Scottish highlands, would this not SPOIL the Highlands?

Jamieson Laboratories accepts raw material from any country once we are satisfied that it meets our stringent standards for safety, efficacy and purity. Raw material from China is handled with the same rigorous quality-assurance protocols as any other material used for the production of Jamieson supplements. Our 360 Pure protocol dictates that only the finest ingredients go into every Jamieson product— no exceptions are made.
