The dirty little secret Doctors and Nutritionists Don't Tell You

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) is a non-profit research organization based in Washington, D.C. that uses the power of information to protect human health and the environment. http://www.ewg.org
Every year for the past seven years this organization releases a “Shopper`s Guide to Pesticides in Produce” that includes information on more than 50 fruits and vegetables and their total pesticide loads.  For general interest apples ranked as the most contaminated produce in 2011 in which pesticides showed up on 98% of the more than 700 apples sampled.
But you wash or peel your produce before you eat it you say.  No worries, right? Well, the really scary feature of the protocol is that the samples are also washed and peeled prior to being tested, so the contamination reflects the amount of chemical residue likely present on the food when it is eaten.
We all know pesticides can be extremely toxic to human health and the environment.  Canadian and International agencies alike have linked pesticides to nervous system toxicity, cancer, hormone system disruption and I.Q. deficits in children.
Here`s a dilemma, we all know we should be eating more fruits and especially vegetables. The medical community at large, nutritionists and dieticians alike can`t say enough about how important it is to eat more of these foods.  It`s true.  They`re packed with nutritional compounds essential to health. Yet there is this dirty little secret about pesticide residue they never tell us about, or if they do, they think washing the produce fixes everything.  It is this same group of professionals, in general – because there are some progressive docs and nutritionists out there, who constantly communicate if one eats their daily requirement (5 to 10 servings) of fresh fruit and vegetables there really is no need to include a dietary or vitamin supplement. Wrong again.
Here`s where  dietary and vitamin supplements come to the rescue to help reduce the burden of this issue that you can`t avoid. Naturopathic practitioners and knowledgeable Jamieson users have long known that  certain supplement formulas, like Garlic, Selenium, Milk Thistle and Vitamin C,  at potency levels that far exceed what is found naturally in fruit and vegetables, act as natural chelating  agents. In simple terms they support the many enzymatic processes of the body by binding, deactivating and eliminating the toxins in question.  This in turn helps support the proper functioning of the bodies key detoxification centers, the Liver, Kidney and Lymphatic systems.  Even though the human body is an amazing “biomachine” with its own natural defence and detoxification processes, when they are compromised because of things like pesticide overload, their other important duties like cell growth, tissue repair and immune-control become neglected and break down. Furthermore, the Jamieson 360Pure process ensures that these supplements will always be pure , free from microcontaminants and toxin residues.
Next time someone makes the case as to why you don`t need  a dietary or vitamin supplements because everything they need is in the foods you eat…you`ll know better.
Please let us know your thoughts on the matter.

Hi Mohymain,

Are you referring to the pesticide found on fruits and vegetables? If so, Canadian and International agencies alike have linked pesticides to nervous system toxicity, cancer, hormone system disruption and I.Q. deficits in children. Thanks for writing.

What is the side effect of this drug??????

Hi Sam,

The tests were done on both organic and non-organic fruit, and the results were the same – the residue actually leached into the fruit, through the skin. You can read more about the tests and the results by clicking the link at the top of the article. Thanks for writing!

What about eating organic fruit?

If tests were done on peeled apples, how does this explain residue found ON the apples when eaten? Does the pesticide leach into the fruit?
